- Agniveer Scheme is a defense recruitment
initiative launched by the
Government of India, under which
young individuals are given the
opportunity to serve in the Indian
Armed Forces (Army, Air Force,
and Navy) for a period of four
years. The recruits under this
scheme are known as "Agniveers."
The primary aim is to instill
discipline, develop skills, and provide
valuable experience to youth through national
service. During their tenure, Agniveers receive an
attractive salary, allowances, insurance cover, and a
Seva Nidhi package. After completion of service, they
are given preference in government jobs and support
in transitioning to civilian life.
अग्निवीर योजना भारत सरकार द्वारा शुरू की गई एक रक्षा भर्ती योजना है, जिसके अंतर्गत युवाओं को चार वर्षों के लिए भारतीय सेना (थल सेना, वायु सेना, और नौसेना) में सेवा का अवसर दिया जाता है। इस योजना के तहत भर्ती किए गए सैनिकों को "अग्निवीर" कहा जाता है। इसका उद्देश्य युवाओं को राष्ट्र सेवा के माध्यम से अनुशासन, कौशल और अनुभव प्रदान करना है। सेवा के दौरान अग्निवीरों को आकर्षक वेतन, भत्ते, बीमा सुरक्षा तथा सेवा निधि दी जाती है, और सेवा समाप्ति के बाद उन्हें सरकारी नौकरियों एवं नागरिक जीवन में भी विशेष प्राथमिकता मिलती है।
